Clarity over hype. Evidence over claims. Responsibility over buzzwords.
Vision
We aim to be the preferred partner for innovation-oriented industrial companies that want to turn technical expertise into measurable production improvements.
Mission
We develop custom industrial software and AI-powered applications that solve complex industrial tasks and keep their value over long life cycles.
Values
PARTNERSHIP-MINDED
We work close to our customers, as equals, with a long-term understanding of the task.
DEPENDABLE
We stand for stable software, clear responsibility and dependable collaboration.
PRAGMATIC AND EFFECTIVE
We solve concrete problems and put things into practice, without unnecessary complexity. We adapt to our customers’ processes.
OPEN TO NEW TECHNOLOGY
We actively take up new technologies and make them usable in real industrial settings.
KNOWLEDGE-DRIVEN
We combine technical knowledge, process understanding and experience into solutions that hold up in practice.
SABO IT is not a product vendor or an AI hype case, but a development partner for demanding industrial software projects.
How we work
Source code and documentation belong to you
Everything SABO IT develops for you in a project belongs to your company: specification, source code, documentation and the rights to them.
Development in your technology stack
We choose technologies to suit the task and stay technology-neutral. That means no vendor lock-in.
Handover when you want it
We handle maintenance and further development. If you want to run the application yourself later, handover to your internal team is a planned project step.
Where we are
Bühl
Berlin
Prague
Olomouc
OSTRAVA
We have five locations in Germany and the Czech Republic. Bühl and Berlin keep us close to the customer; Prague, Olomouc and Ostrava carry the development teams. One time zone, one EU legal framework. That keeps coordination paths in our projects short.
Who works here
Applications that run for years are changed more often than they are newly developed. Every change has to be tested. That's why testing and QA is our largest team. We also work continuously with universities and research institutes, including two Fraunhofer institutes, three universities of applied sciences and a university in Prague.
AI Tech Meetups
On the last Wednesday of every month, SABO IT hosts an AI Tech Meetup in Prague. Developers, testers and architects are invited – whether or not they work for us.
Topics and speakers change from month to month. Sometimes it’s a new tool, sometimes experience from an ongoing project. Instead of long presentations, the focus is on professional exchange and open discussion.
What works in practice goes into our customer projects. What doesn't is just as useful to know.

FAQ
Is SABO IT a software agency?
No. Agencies build websites, campaigns and digital products for consumers. SABO IT develops software for technical processes: controls, plants, devices, production. The difference lies in the life cycle: these applications stay in service for years.
Is SABO IT a managed IT provider or an IT service provider?
We are not a managed IT provider: we don’t look after networks, workstations, servers or help desks. As an IT service provider, SABO IT focuses on software development. We develop the applications for your technical processes and handle their maintenance and further development.
Does SABO IT sell standard software, ERP or MES systems?
No. SABO IT connects existing ERP, MES and control systems and develops what is missing in between. Our own platforms, SenseDrive and SABOT, aren’t off-the-shelf software either: they are set up for your use case within the project.
Does SABO IT develop software for medical devices?
Yes. SABO IT has experience developing in accordance with EN IEC 62304, DIN EN 60601-1 and FDA requirements and has delivered complete modules of a medical device for Maquet. MDR conformity of the finished product remains the manufacturer’s responsibility.
Is this staff augmentation or body leasing?
No. You don’t rent developers; you commission a team with a task. SABO IT is responsible for the results, documentation and quality assurance. The teams stay the same for years.
Is SABO IT a nearshoring provider?
Not in the usual sense. Development takes place in Germany and the Czech Republic, but this isn’t about buying capacity by the hour. Stable teams, one time zone, one EU legal framework, contacts in Bühl and Berlin.
Is SABO IT an AI startup?
No. SABO IT has been developing software since 1983, and as SABO IT since 2012, with more than 60 IT and AI experts at five locations in Germany and the Czech Republic. We use AI where it adds value in a project, for example in our knowledge platform SenseDrive.
