AI-First Java Developer (m/f/d)
At SABO Mobile IT, we build custom software for industrial and enterprise clients — and we do it AI-first. Our developers use AI tools daily (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and more), we build solutions with AI components, and we approach every problem with an AI-first mindset. We're looking for a Java Developer to join our team on a long-term enterprise project within the Volkswagen Group, where we serve as a technology and consulting partner.
What You'll Work On:
- Developing microservices-based applications using Java & Spring Boot
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- Working with SQL & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar for messaging and asynchronous processing
- Deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Ensuring code quality, security, and performance optimization
- Using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a standard part of your daily workflow
What We Expect from You:
- 3+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and database management
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and distributed systems
- AI-first mindset: openness to AI tools and willingness to use them actively in your work
- Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile environment
- English B2+ (Czech or German is an advantage)
